If the downdraught is severe and continuous, you need a H Anti Down Draught Chimney Cowl instead. If the problem happens in calm weather with no wind, this cowl will not solve it. That usually means a lack of draught, which may require an electric chimney fan cowl. This cowl will not solve downdraught caused by a chimney that sits too low. That includes chimneys more than 4 feet below the roof apex or close to taller trees, hedges, or structures. The cowl uses 0.7mm stainless steel and suits solid fuel, oil, or gas. It has no moving parts, is CE marked, and is manufactured to BS EN1856-1:2009. When fitted correctly, the Static Anti Downdraught Chimney Cowl will not detach in high winds. It also includes a one year warranty against faulty materials and workmanship. The pack includes one Static Anti Downdraught Chimney Cowl, one strap, and one fixing screw and bolt. The 8-inch version also includes three legs, three claws, and wingnuts. Fitting is simple and only requires a screwdriver.
